Seville

Long ago, Seville was the seaport to the Americas, today, the capital of Andalusia, and one of the largest historical centers in Europe. In April you can visit “La Feria de Abril”, where the natural beauty of the Sevillian girls is enhanced by the typical flamenco dresses. An ideal place to dance “Sevillanas” whilst enjoying a glass of sherry and some local tapas.

With more than 1 millon visitors, the Feria is Seville’s biggest event of the year. One of the most important contests of horse carriages take place during the “Feria of Seville”. This contest is on the last Sunday of the feria. Another horse carriage contest is held during the annual SICAB of Seville, the most prestigious Spanish Horse exhibition in the world. This is a unique opportunity to admire years of craftsmen tradition in horse-drawn carriages. The nicest wood carvings, the finest upholstery and the brightest golden accessories decorate mighty carriages.

Seville’s charm and monuments are there for all to enjoy, whether to be discovered by horse drawn carriage, tour bus, river cruise or on foot. Admire the magnificent Cathedral, the impressive Alcázar palace, the Santa Cruz quarter, Maria Luisa park, Plaza de España, and many other interesting sites.

“Tapear” is a social and culinary custom and a way of life for the people of Seville. Tapas are usually served as appetizers, accompanied by a nice glass of Sherry or a cold beer.

Going shopping in the centre of Seville means strolling through numerous typical places where some of the worlds most important names in fashion can be found side by side with markets filled with the most traditional arts and crafts.

If you wish to experience the excitement of a bullfighting spectacle in the “Plaza de Toros de Sevilla”, you may witness the bravery of the bulls of some of the most prestigious Spanish cattle ranches in Spain.
